We are looking for a dedicated team member to fill one of the newest Optical Assistant jobs available in Swadlincote, working 37.5 hours per week with a starting salary from £8.20 to £12.91 per hour. What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into the practice with a friendly and professional manner
- Booking in eye tests and managing appointment diaries
- Pre-screening patients ahead of their consultations
- Providing expert style advice to help customers choose frames
- Measuring frames accurately to ensure a comfortable fit
- Handling phone calls and general enquiries from the public
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Previous optical experience is preferred but not essential
- Hard-working attitude and a caring approach to patient care
- Confidence to communicate effectively with people of all ages
