We are looking for a proactive people person to take on an Optical Assistant job in St Andrews, offering full-time hours at 40 hours per week over 5 days including every Saturday, with part-time considered from a minimum of 3 days per week, and a competitive salary of up to £13.21 per hour depending on experience. What you'll be doing
- Use your customer service skills to create an outstanding environment for customers and colleagues
- Act as the friendly face of the practice, greeting visitors and guiding them through their visit
- Confidently dispense frames and lenses at all levels
- Work with IT systems efficiently while adapting to daily demands
- Support the practice team and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience as an Optical Advisor or Dispensing Assistant
- Passion for optical products and services
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team-working ethos
- Confidence in using IT systems and the ability to adapt quickly
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn, with the opportunity to work towards Cert 3 and Cert 4 qualifications
Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £13.21 per hour depending on level of experience
