We are currently recruiting for full-time Optical Assistant jobs in Bournemouth, offering the chance to earn while you learn with a nationally recognised apprenticeship. What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into the practice and building rapport
- Booking in eye tests and managing phone calls
- Pre-screening patients ahead of their appointments
- Providing style advice and helping patients choose frames
- Measuring frames to ensure a comfortable and accurate fit
What we're looking for
- Grade 9-4 (A*-C) GCSEs in Maths, or equivalent/predicted result
- Right to work in the UK, having lived in the EU for three years or more
- A great listener and communicator who enjoys working with people
- A team player with a passion for personal development and business growth
- No prior experience working in the optical sector
Salary and benefits
- £8.20 per hour
- 40 hours per week including weekend requirements
