We are looking for a proactive people person to join our busy practice as an Optical Assistant in Okehampton, offering 40 hours a week across 5 days including weekend requirements and £8.20 - £12.91 per hour dependent on experience. If you are passionate about retail and great customer service, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills and gain a nationally recognised qualification through an apprenticeship.
What you'll be doing
- Create an outstanding environment for customers and the team, making sure every patient receives the best care
- Help people choose frames and lenses while delivering excellent customer service
- Use IT systems confidently to support daily practice operations
- Step out of your comfort zone, try new things, and receive feedback to support your ongoing development
What we're looking for
- Passion for providing excellent customer service and making customers' lives easier
- Great teamwork and a good level of initiative
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Eagerness to learn and build a rewarding career in optics
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment, or experience and basic knowledge in optics or audiology, is desirable but not essential
