We are looking for a dedicated team member to fill one of the current Optical Assistant vacancies across the UK, offering Monday to Friday hours from 9am to 5.30pm alongside a salary of £27,000 per annum. Based from an office in Bolton, this mobile position involves driving out to provide essential eye care and support to vulnerable patients who cannot visit standard practices.
What you'll be doing
- Bringing eye care and services directly to people's homes across Manchester North, BL, and Lancashire, with occasional travel further afield
- Assisting patients with basic daily tasks alongside your clinical duties to support the heart of your community
- Working closely with a dedicated team of colleagues from optical and administrative backgrounds
- Using tablets, laptops, and new systems with confidence while on the road
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility with your working hours
- Experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment
- Basic knowledge of optical services and systems
