We are looking for a caring individual to start their career with Optical Assistant jobs available right now in Wrexham. This busy and customer-focused practice is centrally located in Wrexham town centre, within easy reach of both Wrexham General and Wrexham Central railway stations, as well as local bus routes.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into store and booking in eye tests
- Pre-screening patients ahead of their appointments
- Providing expert style advice and helping customers find the right solutions for their vision needs
- Measuring frames and adjusting spectacles
- Handling telephone calls and general enquiries within a fast-paced environment
What we're looking for
- Passion and a strong work ethic, with no previous optical experience or qualifications required
- Confidence in communicating with people and delivering exceptional customer service
- A collaborative team player ready to learn from experienced opticians and technicians
- Willingness to contribute to the continued success and daily operations of the practice
Salary and benefits
- £8.00 - £12.71 per hour
- Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, to include working a weekend day
- Performance-based bonus scheme available following successful completion of 3 months' service
