We are recruiting for a full-time Optical Assistant to join our growing team in Wellington, offering £8.20 an hour and comprehensive training to kickstart your career in optics. This entry-level position is ideal for a proactive people person who is passionate about retail and delivering great customer service.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into the practice and managing arrivals
- Booking in eye tests and carrying out pre-screening for patients
- Providing expert style advice and measuring frames to fit
- Handling phone calls, bookings, and general customer enquiries
What we're looking for
- GCSE Maths at Grade 9-4 (A*-C) or an equivalent level qualification
- Right to work in the UK, having lived in the EU for three years or more
- Genuine enthusiasm for customer service and a strong desire to learn
- Ability to travel to the Wellington practice on a daily basis
- Applicants must not have previously worked in the optical sector
