We are looking for a dedicated team member to fill one of the newest Optical Assistant jobs Sunderland has to offer, based right in the city centre directly opposite the main train station. This is a full-time, 40-hour-a-week position that includes a weekend day, offering a competitive £12.71 per hour alongside a supportive team environment and excellent transport links via trains, metros, and local bus routes.
What you'll be doing
- Confidently welcoming customers as they walk through the practice doors
- Helping patients navigate their choices and providing attentive customer service throughout their visit
- Working alongside experienced optometrists and technicians who will support you on your career journey
- Participating in professional training and development across various areas of the business
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Previous experience working in an optics or audiology business
- Basic knowledge and experience of optical or audiology terminology
- A caring, passionate, and hard-working approach to supporting customers and colleagues
