We are recruiting for a permanent full-time 40 hours per hour including weekend requirement position based in the vibrant coastal town of Hove, offering an entry-level pathway into Optical Assistant jobs for a caring and motivated individual. This community-focused practice provides exceptional eye and hearing care in a welcoming, professional environment where you can learn your trade over a 15 to 18-month structured training programme.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers into store and answering telephone calls
- Booking in eye tests and carrying out patient pre-screening
- Providing expert style advice and measuring frames
- Building your skills alongside a friendly, passionate and highly experienced team
What we're looking for
- GCSEs in Maths at grades 9–4 (A*–C), or an equivalent qualification
- Residency in the EU for at least 3 years with the right to work in the UK
- Not currently enrolled in another government-funded course
- No previous experience working in the optical sector, plus the ability to travel to the Hove location on a daily basis
- Great listening, communication and teamwork skills with a real passion for personal development
