We are recruiting an Optometrist jobs candidate for a community-based role covering Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, including Livingston, Haddington, Peebles, and Galashiels. This position is available on both a full-time and part-time basis, offering a basic salary of £65,000 FTE (depending on experience) alongside a £10,000 welcome bonus (pro rata for part time).
What you'll be doing
Taking your clinical skills on the road, you will bring essential eye care directly to the doorsteps of patients who are unable to visit traditional practice locations. Beyond your clinical duties, you will support individuals with basic tasks they cannot manage alone, bringing care and companionship to the heart of the community. You will cover a designated territory travelling between private homes, working both independently and as part of a wider dedicated team.
What we're looking for
- GOC registration as a qualified optometrist with an up-to-date status
- Full UK driving licence
- Confidence, passion for exceptional patient care, and a self-motivated approach
