We are recruiting for a permanent, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm Optical Assistant in York, offering a starting salary of £26,833.00 per annum alongside a £2,000 Welcome Bonus for new employees. This mobile domiciliary role brings essential eye care directly to the homes of vulnerable patients and care homes across the Yorkshire and Leeds area.
What you'll be doing
- Provide care to patients in their own homes and within care homes across the region
- Support the wider team in delivering mobile eye care services
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build genuine rapport with vulnerable patients and their families
- Meet patients' optical needs using your knowledge of products and services while helping to ensure smooth clinic scheduling
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience is essential for this position
- Excellent customer care skills and a compassionate approach
- Full UK driving licence to enable travel to patients' homes
