What you'll be doing
- Deepening your dispensing knowledge through structured training and continuous development alongside your usual optical assistant responsibilities
- Building clinical and practical skills across professional practice and patient care
- Undertaking training in dispensing skills, complex and specialist dispensing, low vision, and visual aids
- Developing clinical awareness, communication, teamwork, and professional conduct
- Creating a warm and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues to ensure an outstanding experience in-store
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years' experience working as an Optical Assistant
- 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9 (A-C) including Maths, English, and Science
- An employment contract of 30+ hours per week
- Residency in England with the full right to work and study for the duration of the programme, with no visas expiring or requiring renewal during the apprenticeship
- Not currently enrolled in any other government-funded course
- Motivation, ambition, positivity, and a passion for patient care
