If you are looking for Optical Assistant jobs that offer variety away from the test room, we are recruiting for a mobile community-based position covering the region from Romford across to Colchester and from Bishop's Stortford down to Southend-on-Sea, with the team aiming to keep you as close to home as possible. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (flexibility required), offering a salary of up to £29,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a combined package reaching up to £35,000 per annum.
What you'll be doing
- Driving mobile services to the doorsteps of patients who are unable to visit traditional stores
- Providing essential eye care and bringing clinical support directly into the heart of the community
- Working in a range of varied locations and testing environments every day, ensuring no two days are the same
- Confidently dispensing lenses at all levels
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least 6 months to 1 year
- The ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable
Salary and benefits
- Salary of up to £29,000 per annum (DOE) with a combined package of up to £35,000 per annum
