We are currently recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs across South West London and Greater London, including full or part-time roles based in and around Staines-upon-Thames. If you love working with patients but want a new challenge that takes you out of the test room and into the community, this mobile role offers a salary of up to £28,000 pro rata DOE plus a car allowance of £3,240 per annum.
What you'll be doing
- Driving our mobile services to the doorsteps of vulnerable patients who are unable to visit standard practices
- Providing essential eye care and clinical support directly in people's homes
- Working in a varied range of locations and testing environments where no two days are the same
- Spending valuable one-on-one time with patients in the place where they feel most comfortable
- Bringing smiles and making a genuine difference in the heart of your community
What we're looking for
- At least 6 months to 1 year of recent optical experience
- The ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence and your own car, as travel across the region is essential
- Preferred candidates based in the SW, KT, or TW postcode areas
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable
