An exciting opportunity has arisen for candidates seeking Optical Assistant jobs in Hounslow, offering a competitive salary up to £28,000 pro rata DOE and full or part-time hours, minimum 3 days per week. This is a community-focused role that takes eye care directly to patients who cannot visit a high street practice.
What you'll be doing
- Driving services to the doorsteps of vulnerable patients in their own homes, bringing clinical care into the heart of the community
- Working in a varied range of locations and testing environments every day across South West London and Greater London, from Brixton towards Ascot and Sutton up to Rickmansworth
- Spending more one-on-one time with patients in a comfortable environment to truly cater to their needs
- Collaborating with a dedicated team scattered across the region
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least 6 months to 1 year, with the ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence and your own car (essential due to travel requirements, with a preference for candidates based in SW, KT, or TW postcodes)
- Flexibility regarding the 9am to 5.30pm working hours
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable
