We are looking for a dedicated community-focused team member to take on a mobile role covering South West London, Greater London, and parts of Optical Assistant jobs Wales routes, offering Full or part-time considered (minimum 3 days per week for part-time) hours with a Salary up to £28,000 pro rata DOE. This position brings essential eye care directly to vulnerable patients in their own homes, giving you the chance to make a genuine difference while enjoying a varied daily routine.
What you'll be doing
- Driving to patients' doorsteps across the region to provide clinical care and eye testing support
- Delivering a high standard of service in a range of home and care environments where no two days are the same
- Spending quality one-on-one time with patients to understand their needs and help them choose the right eyewear
- Working flexibly within operating hours of 9am-5.30pm across locations ranging from Brixton and Sutton out towards Ascot and Rickmansworth
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least 6 months to 1 year with the ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence and your own car (preferred candidates are based in SW, KT, or TW postcode areas due to travel times)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable but not essential
