We are recruiting for a mobile Optical Assistant jobs vacancy based in Sydenham, offering full or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week) between 9.00am and 5.30pm with flexibility required. This role brings clinical eye care directly to vulnerable patients in their own homes across South West London and Greater London, spanning from Brixton and Ascot to Sutton and Rickmansworth.
What you'll be doing
- Driving to patients' doorsteps to provide essential eye care for those unable to visit standard high-street practices
- Delivering a varied daily routine in different testing environments where no two days are the same
- Spending quality, one-on-one time with patients in their own homes to truly understand and cater to their needs
- Bringing clinical care and confidence into the heart of the community
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least 6 to 12 months, with the ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence and your own car, which are essential for travelling across the region
- Flexibility regarding travel times across postcode areas including SW, KT, and TW
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service environment is desirable
Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £28,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
