Are you looking for Optical Assistant jobs that take you out of the test room and into the community? We are recruiting a personable team member for a part-time position working 24 hours per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8.30am to 5.30pm, with some flexibility required, offering a competitive salary of £26,800 per annum (pro rata) and a company car.
What you'll be doing
- Driving mobile services to the doorsteps of vulnerable patients in their own homes and care settings
- Providing dedicated eye care and clinical support to people unable to visit high street stores
- Working across a varied territory covering Swindon and Wiltshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Bath, Northeast Somerset, Bristol, and parts of Wales
- Delivering tailored, one-to-one patient care in a mobile testing environment where no two days are the same
- Confidently dispensing at all levels to suit individual patient needs
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least six months to one year
- Proven ability to confidently dispense at all levels
- A full UK driving licence, as travel across the regional territory is essential
- A driven, approachable personality with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to meet the travel and scheduling needs of the business
