We are recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs across the UK, including this mobile domiciliary role covering the E and IG postcodes in East London, operating on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (with some flexibility required). What you'll be doing
- Carrying out daily clinics and delivering glasses to patients in their own homes and care home settings
- Ensuring every customer has a great experience and receives a high-quality professional service
- Working independently using your own initiative while remaining confident when dealing with customers
- Supporting the clinical team and helping customers throughout the East London area
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months to 1 year)
- Ability to dispense at all levels, measure and fit
- Full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- Enthusiastic, kind, friendly, and highly motivated personality
- People skills with the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone
- Desirable skills include previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment and confidence using new systems, tablets, or laptops
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £26,852 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Full-time hours — Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm (flexibility required)
- £3,000 per annum car allowance
