We are recruiting a full-time, Monday to Friday Optical Assistant jobs opening based in Islington, offering a competitive salary of up to £28,000 per annum and a £3,000 car allowance. This mobile role involves taking optical care directly to patients in their own homes and care home settings across East London.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering a high-quality professional service to patients in their own homes and care home settings
- Carrying out clinics and dispensing, measuring, and fitting glasses at all levels
- Delivering glasses to patients and ensuring every customer has a great experience
- Working on your own initiative and communicating confidently with a wide variety of people
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience of at least 6 months to 1 year
- Confidence in dispensing at all levels, measuring, and fitting
- A full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- An enthusiastic, kind, friendly, and highly motivated demeanour with a strong work ethic
- Desirable skills include previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment and confidence using tablets, laptops, and new systems
Salary and benefits
- Salary of £26,852 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- £3,000 car allowance per annum
- Bonus scheme based on daily sales
- Full-time hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm (flexibility required)
