We are recruiting for a permanent Optical Assistant jobs candidate to support our domiciliary team covering East London, including postcodes E and IG, with full-time – Monday to Friday 9am-6pm (flexibility required) hours. This mobile role offers a salary of £26,852 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience and the chance to deliver vital eyecare directly to patients in their own homes and care home settings.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering a high-quality professional service to patients in their own homes and care home settings
- Ensuring every customer has a great experience, working on your own initiative and dealing with customers with confidence
- Carrying out clinics and delivering glasses to patients
- Covering two postcode areas in East London (E and IG), with travel supported by a car allowance of £3000 per annum
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience (at least 6 months to 1 year)
- The ability to confidently dispense at all levels, measure and fit
- A full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- A kind, friendly, enthusiastic demeanour with a real people person approach and the ability to chat with anyone
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer facing environment is desirable
- Confidence using new systems, tablets, and/or laptops is desirable
