We are currently recruiting for full-time – Monday to Friday 9am-6pm (flexibility required) hours, offering candidates seeking Optical Assistant jobs an exciting chance to join a domiciliary team covering the E and IG postcode areas of East London, with our preferred candidate based within one of those locations. This mobile role provides a £26,852 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience salary alongside a £3000 Car allowance to support your travel.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver a high-quality professional service to patients in their own homes and care home settings
- Carry out daily clinics and dispense, measure, and fit glasses
- Deliver glasses directly to patients while ensuring every customer has a great experience
- Work on your own initiative and handle customer interactions with confidence
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience (at least 6 months' - 1 year) with the ability to confidently dispense at all levels, measure and fit
- Full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- Enthusiastic, kind, and friendly demeanour with a highly motivated and reliable approach
- Ability to strike up a chat with anyone and demonstrate strong people skills at interview
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment is desirable
- Confidence using new systems, tablets, and laptops is also beneficial
