We are recruiting for a full-time Monday to Friday 9am-6pm (flexibility required) role based in Barnet, offering a fantastic opportunity for candidates seeking Optical Assistant jobs with a supportive mobile clinical team. You will be travelling to patients in their own homes and care home settings to deliver an exceptional, personalised eye care service across East London postcodes E and IG.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out clinics and delivering glasses directly to patients in their own homes and care homes
- Providing a high-quality professional service while ensuring every customer has a great experience
- Working independently on your own initiative while supporting the clinical and administrative team
- Communicating effectively with patients, striking up a friendly conversation with anyone you meet
What we're looking for
- At least 6 months to 1 year of previous optical experience
- Confidence in dispensing at all levels, measuring and fitting
- A full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- A kind, friendly demeanour, high motivation, and a real people person attitude
- Experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment and confidence using tablets, laptops, and new systems (desirable)
Salary and benefits
- Salary: £26,852 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Car allowance: £3,000 per annum
