We are recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs in Enfield Town, offering full-time hours, Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm with flexibility required, alongside a salary of £26,852 - £28,000 per annum dependent on experience. This mobile domiciliary position covers two postcode areas in East London, with the successful candidate receiving a car allowance of £3,000 per annum. You will join a dedicated team delivering a professional, high-quality service directly to patients in their own homes and care home settings.
What you'll be doing
- Carrying out clinics and delivering glasses to patients in their own homes and care home settings
- Ensuring every customer receives a great experience and a high-quality professional service
- Working independently using your own initiative while handling customer interactions with confidence
- Joining an existing team from optical and administrative backgrounds
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience of at least 6 months to 1 year
- Confidence in dispensing at all levels, measuring and fitting
- A full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- An enthusiastic, kind, friendly, and reliable demeanour with a strong work ethic
- Ability to strike up a conversation with almost anyone and demonstrate strong people skills
- Desirable experience includes working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment and confidence using new systems, tablets, or laptops
