We are recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs in Walthamstow, offering a full-time contract working Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm, with some flexibility required, a salary of £26,852 to £28,000 per annum, and a £3,000 annual car allowance. This mobile domiciliary position covers East London postcode areas E and IG, delivering professional optical care directly to patients in their own homes and care home settings.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering a high-quality, professional optical service to patients in their own homes and care home settings across the E and IG postcode areas
- Carrying out clinics and ensuring every customer has a great experience
- Delivering glasses to patients, working on your own initiative, and handling customer interactions with confidence
- Supporting the clinical team and helping customers throughout their visit
What we're looking for
- Current or recent optical experience, with at least 6 months to 1 year of background in the industry
- The ability to confidently dispense at all levels, measure, and fit
- A full UK driving licence and confidence as a driver
- A natural people person with a kind, friendly demeanour, strong motivation, and the ability to strike up a conversation with anyone
- Desirable skills include previous experience in a fast-paced customer-facing environment and confidence using new systems, tablets, and laptops
Salary and benefits
