A warm and welcoming seaside practice is currently recruiting for full-time (40 hours a week) or part-time Optical Assistant vacancies in Burnham-on-Sea, offering a starting rate from £12.91 an hour depending on experience. What you'll be doing
- Acting as the friendly face of the practice and greeting every visitor warmly
- Guiding customers through frames, products, and services with expert knowledge
- Supporting the wider team to maintain a smooth and efficient store environment
- Using internal IT systems confidently to manage customer queries and records
What we're looking for
- Previous optical experience gained as an Optical Advisor, Contact Lens Assistant, Imaging Assistant, or Dispensing Assistant
- Excellent communication skills and a natural passion for people
- A proactive, adaptable approach and strong team-working abilities
- Confidence with standard IT systems and retail technology
Salary and benefits
- From £12.91 an hour, with higher rates available for experienced candidates
- Full time (40 hours a week) or part-time contracts requiring a minimum of 3 full days a week
