We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a mobile role covering Chippenham and the wider South West region, offering full-time and part-time hours with great flexibility. This position allows you to step away from the test room and bring essential clinical care directly to patients in their own homes, combining clinical independence with strong community impact.
What you'll be doing
- Driving to patients' homes within the territory to provide comprehensive eye care services
- Using the latest portable optical equipment to test and examine patients who cannot visit standard practices
- Supporting vulnerable patients with essential daily tasks alongside your clinical duties
- Working independently while collaborating closely with a dedicated local support team
What we're looking for
- Registration as a member of the General Optical Council (GOC) with up-to-date status
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory
- Confidence, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for community care
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a wider team
Salary and benefits
- Salary up to £65,000 (depending on experience)
