We are recruiting a permanent part-time Optometrist in Manchester for 24 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
What you'll be doing as an Optometrist in Manchester
- Completing eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations
- Working alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards
- Delivering a wide range of patient care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions under NHS contracts
- Supervising students if you choose to take on the opportunity to support the next generation of optical professionals
- Working a fixed rota covering Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 09:00 to 17:30
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months (fully funded and supported)
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service and developing new patient services
- Evidence of Right to Work in the UK and two clinical references
