What you'll be doing
- Overseeing and managing the entire daily operation of the optical department, including clinic management and shop floor processes
- Managing a team of Optometrists and Optical Assistants, working in close partnership with the resident Optometrist
- Coaching and developing team members to ensure excellent patient service and clinical care
- Overseeing compliance processes and procedures
- Reviewing sales forecasting and driving the department to meet its targets
- Handling customer queries and ensuring the department is fully equipped for patients' needs
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the GOC
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Proven leadership skills gained within a fast-paced optics environment
- Confident in coaching, motivating and developing others
- Highly organised with the ability to manage your time effectively in a busy setting
- Driven and ambitious with a commitment to providing outstanding customer and patient care
