The department operates a straightforward fixed-price approach with no up-selling for varifocals or thinner lenses, allowing you to focus purely on patient solutions.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing and managing the entire operation of the optical department
- Managing and coaching a team of Optometrists and optical assistants
- Handling clinic management, shop floor processes, and compliance procedures
- Reviewing sales forecasting and department targets while resolving customer queries
- Working in close partnership with the resident Optometrist
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Proven leadership skills gained within a fast-paced optics environment
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and driving department targets
