What you'll be doing
- Overseeing and managing the entire daily operation of the optical department
- Managing and leading a team of optometrists and optical assistants
- Handling clinic management, shop floor processes, and compliance procedures
- Reviewing sales forecasting and department targets
- Working closely in partnership with optometrists to coach and develop the team
- Dealing directly with customer queries and ensuring excellent patient care
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Proven leadership skills gained within a fast-paced optics environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and handle a busy workload
- Confidence in coaching others and driving the department to meet its targets
- Driven, ambitious, and committed to delivering high standards of customer service
