What you'll be doing
- Overseeing and managing the entire daily operation of the optical department
- Managing and leading a team of optometrists and optical assistants
- Overseeing compliance processes and procedures within the practice
- Reviewing sales forecasting and department targets
- Handling customer queries and ensuring high standards of patient care
- Managing clinic schedules and the shop floor process to support customer needs
- Working in close partnership with optometrists to coach and develop team members
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Proven leadership skills in a fast-paced optics environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- Confident in coaching others and driving team performance
- Driven and ambitious in meeting department targets
