We are currently recruiting an Optometrist for a permanent, part-time 28 hours per week position based in Stevenage, with a competitive salary plus benefits package on offer. What you'll be doing
- Complete thorough eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations
- Work alongside the dispensing management team to support colleagues with training, coaching, and departmental standards
- Deliver a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions via extended NHS service contracts
- Supervise students if you choose to take on mentoring responsibilities to support the next generation of professionals
- Maintain high service levels to ensure every customer receives a memorable, patient-focused experience
What we're looking for
- GOC registered fully qualified optometrist
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECS or WECS accredited (or willingness to gain accreditation within 12 months, with full funding and support provided)
- On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements
- Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping department culture
- Right to Work in the UK and ability to provide two clinical references
