We are currently recruiting for an Optometrist job in Gloucester, working part-time on a flexible alternating rota. This permanent position offers a supportive clinical environment focused on high-quality patient care and community eye health across the Gloucestershire region.
What you'll be doing
- Completing eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations
- Working alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards
- Delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions through extended NHS service contracts
- Optional opportunity to supervise students to support the next generation of optical professionals
- Collaborating with in-store, regional, and home office teams for clinical and service support
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months)
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Evidence of Right to Work in the UK and two clinical references
