Responsibilities of this Optometrist position

Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens fittings.
Perform extended service examinations and manage patient care plans.
Support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards.
Deliver a wide range of NHS extended services for eye condition treatment and monitoring.
Contribute to developing new patient services and shaping departmental culture.

Requirements for this Optometrist position

Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months (funded and supported).
On track to meet the statutory points requirement for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Able to use clinical skills and passion to deliver a memorable customer experience.
Evidence of the Right To Work in the UK.
Evidence of being on the NHS performer list for the nation you wish to work in.
Two clinical references.
For roles in Wales, evidence of WECS accreditation & WGOS module accreditation.
