What you'll be doing
- Completing comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and extended service examinations
- Working alongside the Dispensing Optician Manager to support colleagues with training, coaching, and maintaining departmental standards
- Delivering a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions via extended NHS service contracts
- Optional opportunity to supervise students to support the next generation of optical professionals
- Operating on a rotating two-week shift pattern covering Monday to Friday and alternating Saturdays, operating between 09:00 and 17:30
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
- Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited, or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months
- On track to meet statutory CPD points requirements
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and developing new patient services
- Evidence of Right to Work in the UK and two clinical references
