We are currently hiring for Practice Manager jobs Taunton candidates who want to lead a busy branch on a permanent, full-time basis working 45 hours per week. What you'll be doing
- Overseeing and managing the entire daily operation of the optical department
- Managing your team of Optometrists and optical assistants, including coaching and development
- Handling clinic management, shop floor processes, and compliance procedures
- Reviewing sales forecasting and department targets to drive business performance
- Dealing with customer queries and providing excellent patient care
- Working to a two-week alternating rota that includes Saturdays (Week 1: Tuesday to Friday plus Saturday, 09:00 to 18:00; Week 2: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00)
What we're looking for
- Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC
- On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
- Proven leadership skills gained in a fast-paced optics environment
- Confidence in coaching and developing others to meet department targets
- Organised and able to manage your time effectively in a busy setting
