We are currently recruiting an Optometrist for a permanent, part-time 24-hour schedule based in Blyth, offering a competitive salary and robust professional support. This patient-focused position in Northumberland combines routine testing with extended NHS minor eye condition services, allowing you to build a varied and rewarding clinical caseload.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering high-quality patient care, including eye examinations and screening
- Treating and monitoring minor eye conditions through extended NHS service contracts
- Working alongside an Optical Manager to maintain clinical and operational standards
- Coaching, training, and supporting the wider department team
- Helping to develop and shape new patient services for the local community
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
- A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
- MECs or WECs accredited, or a willingness to gain accreditation within 12 months (fully funded and supported)
- On track to meet statutory CPD requirements
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and developing clinical skills
