What does this Optometrist role involve in Peterlee?

This role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the health and wellbeing of customers. You will be involved in screening patients and maintaining departmental standards. A key aspect of the position includes coaching and training the wider team, contributing to the development of new patient services.

You will work in partnership with an Optical Manager to create an environment of both clinical and operational excellence. This involves collaborating with the department team to ensure the most current and accessible services are offered to customers.

Requirements for this Optometrist position

To be considered for this Optometrist vacancy, you will need:

• To be a fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC.
• To be a registered performer with your NHS area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation, or willingness to gain accreditation within 12 months (fully funded and supported).
• To be on track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
• A passion for developing new patient services and shaping departmental culture.
• The ability to use your clinical skills to deliver a memorable customer experience.
