We are recruiting an Optical Assistant for an independent practice in Ashford, working full-time with a salary of £26,000 to £28,000 and great lifestyle benefits. This role gives you the time and tools to deliver genuine patient-first care without feeling rushed.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting patients with frame styling, lens choices, fittings, adjustments, and aftercare
- Offering tailored product knowledge that matches each person's visual and lifestyle needs
- Helping manage more complex prescriptions with the support of the wider team
- Supporting day-to-day practice tasks and contributing to the upkeep of displays and equipment
- Acting as a friendly, reliable point of contact for both patients and colleagues
What we're looking for
- Previous experience working in optics
- A genuine interest in people with an eye for detail and a caring, can-do attitude
- Commitment to working some Saturdays
