What does this Optometrist role involve?

This varied Optometrist role in Dundee involves providing comprehensive eye care to a range of patients. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with experienced eye care professionals and ophthalmologists.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting pre and post-operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery patients.
Providing clinical support to ophthalmologists during refractive surgery procedures.
Participating in a multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures.
Performing essential and advanced eye examinations.
Communicating with and treating patients via telemedicine.
Offering clinical support to the administrative team as needed.
Reviewing incoming referrals from optometrists, GPs, and other primary care routes within the referral triage team, allocating them to the most appropriate ophthalmology clinic.

Requirements for this Optometrist position
