What you'll be doing
Based in an independent practice environment focused on exceptionally high standards of client service, you will utilise the latest diagnostic equipment, technological advances in contact lenses, spectacle lenses, and frames while working alongside a collaborative team. As the first point of contact for clients visiting or contacting the practice, your day-to-day duties will include:
- Greeting customers warmly in person and over the phone with a welcoming smile to ensure they feel valued
- Listening carefully to client needs and taking complete ownership of their queries
- Collaborating closely with Practice Managers, Optometrists, Audiologists, and Dispensing Opticians to determine the best optical solutions
- Assisting customers in selecting suitable frames, lenses, and contact lenses
- Scheduling appointments and managing daily bookings
- Maintaining product displays to keep the store tidy and presentable
- Handling administrative tasks, including processing payments and orders
What we're looking for
Candidates must bring relevant optical retail experience and a passion for eye care. Because this is a mobile role covering multiple practices, a driving licence and car are essential. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Previous experience in optical retail
- Experience of dispensing single focus lenses, multi-focal lenses, and contact lenses
- Strong IT skills alongside excellent communication and listening abilities
- The capability to build strong relationships with team members, peers, and clients
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- A keen interest in eyewear and a commitment to independent teamwork
