We are currently recruiting for Optical Assistant jobs in Reading on a full-time basis, offering a competitive salary of £25,000 to £27,000 per year. What you'll be doing
- Dispensing spectacles and sunglasses using advanced measuring tools
- Carrying out spectacle collections, fittings, and adjustments
- Providing excellent in-room handovers for patients
- Supporting reception by answering phones, booking appointments, and greeting patients
- Discussing contact lenses and alternative eyecare solutions
- Contributing to the smooth, day-to-day running of the practice

- Commitment to truly patient-centred care, with strong warmth and empathy
- Proactive, curious approach to enhancing the patient experience
- Availability to work on Saturdays
