We are looking for a part-time Dispensing Optician to join an established, community-focused independent practice in Whitley Bay for a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract starting in July 2026, offering a salary of £30,000 to £32,000. What you'll be doing
- Providing expert advice and guiding patients through frame and lens choices
- Taking accurate measurements, ensuring high-quality fittings, and handling complex prescriptions or adjustments
- Working closely with the team to deliver a smooth, patient-first experience from start to finish
- Supporting patients with queries, resolving dispensing-related issues, and helping maintain the practice environment
What we're looking for
- GOC registration or registration with the appropriate governing body as a qualified Dispensing Optician
