An exceptional opportunity for a full-time Clinical Lead IP Optometrist in Kent, offering a rewarding £60,000 to £90,000 total package. You will find several open Optometrist vacancies across the region, but this independent practice focuses entirely on advanced pathology, clinical autonomy, and patient-centred care.
What you'll be doing
- Provide high-level clinical care across a varied, pathology-rich caseload using advanced diagnostic technology
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients using your Independent Prescribing qualification, including urgent and routine presentations
- Play a key role in glaucoma care and specialty decision-making within community practice
- Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists, GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
- Deliver comprehensive eye examinations, utilizing 20-30 minute clinic appointments and 30-40 minute sight tests across 2 consulting rooms
- Help shape and further develop clinical services as the practice continues to grow
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified Independent Prescribing Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Additional postgraduate qualifications, particularly in glaucoma or other higher clinical practice, are highly desirable
- Clinically confident, thoughtful, and motivated to keep developing professionally
- Comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a supportive, collaborative team
Salary and benefits
- £60,000 base salary + £30,000+ clinical supplement (DOE), depending on clinical contracts and experience
- Full-time contract working 8:45am – 5:15pm with alternate Saturdays (flexible discussion available)
