An experienced Optometrist is needed for locum 3-5 days per week across Swansea and the surrounding areas, offering a competitive day rate of £450 per day with weekends off. What you'll be doing
- Visit 6 to 8 patients per day in their own homes across a regional patch extending up to 50 miles from your home postcode.
- Conduct thorough eye examinations using 1-hour appointment slots, giving you more time with patients than a typical high street clinic.
- Use modern mobile testing equipment including a mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, and digital records system.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while having quick access to senior support and second opinions from the head office team.
What we're looking for
- GOC registered Optometrist.
- Passion for providing accessible, clinically excellent eye care to patients who cannot easily reach the high street.
- Your own ophthalmoscope and retinoscope in good working order.
- Full UK driving licence and comfortable travelling to regional appointments.
