We are currently recruiting an experienced Optometrist for a flexible 3-5 days per week role covering Manchester and the surrounding areas during July and August 2026. This position offers an attractive earning structure and a rewarding community-focused schedule with completely weekends off.
What you'll be doing
This unique domiciliary role focuses on providing clinical excellence to patients who struggle to access the high street unaided. You will be supported by the latest mobile technology and streamlined processes to deliver life-changing care.
- Visit 6-8 patients per day in their own homes within a clustered local area
- Conduct longer, 1-hour appointments that allow you to build better relationships and deliver gold-standard care
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while having access to quick support and second opinions from a senior clinical team
- Utilise industry-leading digital records, meaning no paperwork
What we're looking for
To be successful in this Optometrist job in Manchester, you must bring professional dedication and flexibility to community eye care.
- Fully qualified and GOC registered Optometrist
- Willingness to travel up to 50 miles from your home postcode, noting that daily routes often feature much shorter drives between clustered appointments
- Passion for providing accessible, affordable, and clinically excellent eye care
- Ability to work independently using a full equipment kit and lightweight kit bag provided
Salary and benefits
- Competitive earning structure: £50 per patient + 5% of sales (based on an average of 7-8 patients per day)
