We are currently recruiting an Optometrist for full-time or part-time work in Peterborough, offering a rewarding way to build your career while helping people who cannot reach the high street unaided. What you'll be doing
- Visit around six to seven patients a day in their own homes to deliver clinically excellent eye care
- Conduct longer, one-hour appointments that give you the time to build meaningful relationships and provide gold-standard service
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while having access to a senior team at head office for a second opinion or support within minutes
- Use the latest mobile technology, including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, and a paperless digital records system
- Help clear a local waiting list of patients eager for access to trusted at-home eye care
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC
- Passion for delivering patient-centred, accessible eye care outside of a traditional practice setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with older and vulnerable patients
- A full UK driving licence to support travel across the region
Salary and benefits
- Salary of up to £64,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 4 or 5 days a week with weekends off and no Sunday working
