We are recruiting a community-based Optometrist in Newcastle upon Tyne working 4 or 5 days a week (no weekends), offering a market-leading salary of up to £74,000 per annum. What you'll be doing
- Visit around six to seven patients a day in their own homes, using generous one-hour appointment slots to build relationships and deliver thorough care
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while maintaining quick access to a senior team at head office for support and second opinions
- Use modern mobile equipment, including a digital fundus camera, a mobile slit lamp, an I-care tonometer, and a paperless digital records system
- Complete your daily visits using a fully expensed company car provided for both business and personal use
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified GOC-registered Optometrist
- Genuine passion for delivering accessible, high-quality eye care directly in the community
- Comfortable working independently while backed by a supportive clinical team
- A full UK driving licence
Salary and benefits
- Salary of up to £74,000 per annum depending on experience, plus a strong monthly commission structure
