We are recruiting a community-based Optometrist in Barking for a 4 or 5-day week with no weekends, offering a competitive salary of up to £64,000 per annum. This mobile domiciliary role covers East London and surrounding areas, delivering essential eye care directly to patients in their own homes.
What you'll be doing
- Visit around 6 to 7 patients every day in their own homes, providing vital care to those who struggle to reach the high street.
- Conduct longer, 1-hour appointments that give you time to build relationships and deliver thorough examinations.
- Make autonomous clinical decisions while having access to fast support and second opinions from a senior team at head office.
- Use a full mobile kit including a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, and a paperless digital records system.
- Complete appointments with the help of a secure company car provided for both business and personal use.
What we're looking for
- A fully qualified and registered Optometrist with the GOC.
- Passion for delivering clinically excellent eye care and making a genuine difference to people's lives.
- Someone comfortable working independently in the community with full training and equipment provided.
- A driver holding a valid UK licence for the company car.
